This nice lady, lively and full of spirit like only few others, is 75 years old and is one of the two daughters of Beppe ‘Peppin’ Meazza, the legendary Inter footballer who died in 1979. The city stadium was named after him and thanks to him Italy won the 1934 and 1938 World Cup (once called Rimet Cup). Among her three children none became a footballer (‘They all inherited the passion for football, but not the talent: that comes out only once in a family tree’). Mrs Silvana has retired but she occasionally helps in the husband’s engineering studio. There’s still time for walks in the park and bridge with friends.
